Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer always longed to be multi-tasking star. Growing up she was a fan of a range different musical styles, but mainly Afro-Caribbean dances such as salsa, merengue and bachata, and popular music such as pop, hip-hop and R&B. She was an avid fan of both film and music. West Side Story, a musical composed by Rita Moreno (1961), was her biggest inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Middle School in The Bronx. After a four year stay and graduation, she attended Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer did well in sports at school and participated in tennis and track and field. She spent most of her living in a 2-story home within the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer left her parents' home at 18 to move out. Lopez worked as a lawyer in this period, while taking lessons at night.
