Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox's budget was increased with a student stipend and part-time jobs. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her performance compared with others at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However she left prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop group. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox began to work for her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it came out in 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's most loved soul, jazz and blues songs from her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The collection comprised of four songs that were improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to an art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on the 25th of December 1954. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to become famous internationally in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career with her first album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of such songs as The No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with six studio albums solo and a compilation. |
